"Lace is inherently connected to the feminine. For some, the word lace conjures up images of curtains or doilies, for others, it’s more sexualized, summoning images of female lingerie. And yet for others, lace invokes images of innocence, like wedding dresses and christening gowns.

With these painting I explore all these emotional ties we have to lace and how it represents a woman in different stages of her life."
